ABOUT US

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center of Silicon Valley was founded by Dr. Salima Brillman in December 2017. It was her vision to offer patients and their loved ones a healthcare model that prioritizes and sets forth a practice focus on improving quality of life. Dr. Brillman provides patients and their families the opportunity of having individualized health care, where third parties like PPOs or HMOs do not set the time and frequency of clinical visits. The concierge model we use allows the patient and their families’ medical needs to be met.
Dr. Brillman makes it a priority to approach each of her patients as an individual, where no one has the same medical treatment “recipe”, she strategizes a specific treatment based on her patients’ medical histories and the creation of a partnership with the patient’s other treating physicians. In addition to patient-centered care, she believes in addressing all caregiver needs and questions through medical, educational, and personal support. Taking a holistic approach to treating patients, Dr. Brillman offers access to ancillary services, which is vital to the improvement in quality of life. Lastly, Dr. Brillman offers to her patients, as well as to those in the community who are not members, an opportunity to participate in clinical trials, should they be interested.

Patients and Families

Thank you for your interest in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center of Silicon Valley, a Concierge Practice centered around you and your family. Concierge medicine is a model allowing patients unlimited and personalized access to their physicians and has been available for some time among general practitioners, but has only been recently established for neurology patients, and more specifically, those with movement disorders.
Dr. Brillman's goal is to provide personal, quality care to each patient by giving as much time as is needed to listen, examine, diagnose, as well as coordinate care across fields, should that prove necessary. Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders affects not only the patients, but also their families. As a result, education for families and caretakers constitutes an integral component in the care for those living with movement disorders.

Patient, A.S.

"Dr Brillman was so wonderful to work with! She cared for my mom who had Lewy Body dementia. Not only did she care for mom as a patient, but also became an advocate for her, and advised me on her care. Dr Brillman was readily available whenever I needed her, and visited mom whenever I asked. Dr Brillman truly cared for mom and treated her more than just being a “patient”. I would highly recommend Dr Brillman. Her knowledge of dementia was vast and she offered us great help."
